Many options exist for TV viewing. Even if you use closed captions, you may benefit from hearing as much as you can to help 'fill in the gaps'. There are some personal listening systems for plasma TVs, some that can be used in theaters or playhouses with infrared assistive listening systems as well as others that allow you to walk through your home and still hear the TV.
All of the systems we offer provide excellent sound quality and good volume gain. While most of the systems featured are designed to be used with no hearing aids, some of them allow for a neckloop to be used if you have hearing aids with telecoils.
You plug most of these systems into the back of the TV into the audio output RCA jacks (never from a front audio jack). This direct connection provides the clean signal. You can use an external microphone next to the TV speaker if you don't have audio output jacks on the back of your analog TV.
If you have a new, digital TV you will also need to purchase a digital audio to analog converter with an optical audio toslink cable.... or purchase a TV listening system that is designed for a digital set. This system plugs into the optical audio out jack.
